With a combination of wind and hydro turbine modules, students get a hands-on experience in understanding and harnessing the potential of two renewable energy sources. In the Wind & Hydro Turbine Makerspace course, students will engage and explore STEM principles related to vertical, horizontal and hydro turbines. Through research, engineering, and design activities, students will understand how liquids can be used as a renewable energy source. Students apply scientific methods, engineering design processes, and quantitative analysis to assess the effectiveness of hydropower as a renewable energy source for sustainable engineering. Choose between the Standard and Plus versions according to the student’s ability. Each solution comes with a kit, enclosed Virtual Teacher Mentoring (VTM) lessons, hardware, and consumables.
