Uniden’s first SSB radio in over a decade is the 980, and it is well worth the wait! The Single Side Band feature lets you talk up to 3 times further, which is ideal for the CBer who wants to reach as far as possible. A digital SWR meter, radio diagnostics, PA capability, channel scanning with 40 channels, and a dimmer switch are all included in the high-tech interface, which boasts a 7-color digital display, making it easier for the driver to view.
It also comes with Dynamike Boost, High SWR Indicator, Instant Channel 9/19, Noise Reduction (NB/ANL), RF Gain, NOAA weather channels, a six-pin microphone that works with Uniden’s innovative wireless microphone technology, and an extra-long cord so you can pass the mic to your backseat passengers.
A great device for monitoring both weather and CB communication, the Uniden 980 is for CB users who want a feature-packed radio that can communicate long distances using SSB.
